The Challenge

The sound system for this new 7,000 seat arena had to deliver clear, dependable, quality sound reinforcement for a variety of events ranging from college basketball games to concerts. The system had to be powerful and flexible. It had to be easily adaptable to a number of room and stage configurations. As events at the arena would demand different stage set-ups, the sound sources would change. The directions of the sound sources would also change, and audiences would vary.

The Solution

AE Systems utilized a Crown IQ® computer control system. Through a few simple steps, the computer operator resets all the equipment to the specifications of the room set-up. The necessary amplifiers, speakers, microphones and other supporting equipment are automatically reconfigured. All factors are considered, including precisely timing the arrival of sound from the new source location. Sound reinforcement as specified for a particular event is quickly and accurately in place.

Every sound engineering project requires knowledge of product capabilities and dedicated, well trained personnel to successfully implement the latest in today's technology.

AE Systems is celebrating 30 years of creating innovative solutions to communication problems.
